EPF subscribers to get lower Interest

It is expected that EPFO subscribers may get a lower interest at a rate of 8.6 per cent. This is lesser when compared to last year
Over 4 crore EPFO subscribers may get a lower interest at a rate of 8.6 per cent on their PF deposits for the current financial year as the labor ministry is expected to toe the finance ministry`s line to cut the rate. The Employees` Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) had provided an 8.8 per cent rate of interest on EPF deposits for 2015-16 despite the finance ministry`s ratification for 8.7 per cent.
