FIRs to be uploaded on website by Nov. 15

As per an order passed by the Supreme Court on Sept. 7, FIRs (First information reports) of all police stations in the country should be uploaded on the official website of the State Police Department within 24 hours of filing of the complaint from Nov. 15.
The FIRs in hand have to be uploaded by Nov. 15. The order has been passed to bring transparency to criminal investigation and prevent harassment by the police.
Cases relating to child abuse and terrorism have been exempted from this rule
