Students studying in class 1 and 2 should not bring school bags, according to the Central Board of Secondary Education. The CBSE board has forwarded circulars to all schools.
Accordingly, class 1 and 2 students studying in CBSE find it tough to carry school bags. They suffer with shoulder pain, back pain, muscle pain, etc. This largely affects the growth and health of children. The responsibility is to be equally shared with parents, teachers and students.
Teachers need to check students’ bags all of a sudden in order to ensure that they are bringing books that are needed for that day’s needs. They are probably carrying all the homework notes or books that are not necessary at all. Teachers should insist the children not to bring such unnecessary notes. They should also ensure that student bags are weight less every day.
Parents should also buy their children lightweight bags. Both parents and teachers need to be supportive in making sure that the children carry weightless schoolbags.
Students should be given with a timetable on the required books and notebooks throughout the week. Projects should be assigned to students only during class hours and not to be assigned as homework.
Whatever is the item or thing a student brings to school for studies, it should be weightless.
