Captain news channel from January 14

Captain Media is all set to launch its 24 hour news channel, `Captain News,` with the channel officially set to go on air from January 14, 2012, coinciding with the Pongal festival season.
"Captain News channel Test run will start from January 1, 2012 and the official launch will be on January 14," a party press release said.
Captain Media Pvt Ltd, backed by DMDK founder Vijayakant, already manages Captain TV, which has a mix of entertainment and news programmes.
