Building plan approval to be henceforth done online

The Tamil Nadu government has announced online plan approval for new building constructions in 31 districts other than Chennai. In a circular rolled out in this regard, Dharmendra Prathap Yadav has stated that exclusive software to carry out online procedures for plan approval is currently under development. The current method of receiving the plan directly from the hands of applicant will thus change.
The construction plan should henceforth be submitted online at www.dtcp.tn.gov.in under the e-DCR software. Apart from this, tasks including submission of necessary proof, request for approval, etc should be done as always.
Severe action will be taken against those who make use of the online practice to perform fraudulence. Dharmendra Prathap Yadav had also stated in his circular that details about this need to be shared with the applicant, surveyors, and architects.
