Deepavali bonus announced for TASMAC employees

In Tamil Nadu, there were 6700 TASMAC shops. On 19th June, 500 shops have been closed. Now there are 6,200 shops functioning.
7,205 supervisors, 15,677 salesmen and 3,753 assistant salesmen are working in these TASMAC shops. Every year the Tamil Nadu government dispenses bonus on the occasion of Deepavali festival. This year also the government has announced Deepavali bonus.
Accordingly the employees will be granted 8.33 percent bonus and 11.67 percent ex-gratia amount. On the whole the TASMAC employees will be paid 20 percent bonus. This bonus will be paid in two instalments.
As per this, the supervisors will be paid a bonus of Rs 16,300 and salesmen will be paid a bonus of Rs 12,080 whereas the assistant salesmen will be paid a bonus of Rs 9060.
The first instalment of bonus has been credited to employee’s bank account last night and the next instalment of bonus will be paid within 10 days.
