
The Chennai High Court has cancelled the conducting of elections for the local administration in Tamil Nadu on a petition filed by the political party DMK.
The political party DMK has put up in the petition that proper or enough number of seats has not allotted for the Ancient Tribes cadre, There seems to some ulterior motive in this government order for conducting the election for local administration.
According to the petition, there has been malpractice in the order announcing the local election administration. This case was taken up for enquiry by the Chennai High Court. It has released an order cancelling the 3 government orders issued regarding the local administration election.
The order says that there is some ulterior motive in the government orders for local administration elections to be conducted. So, the 3 orders on this issue are cancelled.
Further, Chennai High Court has ordered the State election commission that the local administration elections are to be conducted before 30th December. So, the State Election Commission has to release a new government order.
