Income Tax Department: Plan to send greetings on birthdays and wedding anniversaries

The Income Tax Department has planned to send greetings to the public on the occasions of birthdays and wedding anniversaries.
Information is gathered that this will be one of the measures taken to improve the public relations. This is considered as an avenue to be in touch with the taxpayers by sending greetings on their personal special occasions.
Currently, IT Department sends SMS to the taxpayer regarding IT related information.
In a step to improve the existing relationship to a higher level, the IT Department has thought about sending SMS greetings to the taxpayers.
The Secretary of the Income Tax Department, Mr. Hasmukh Aadiya, had earlier explained the press reporters that the department’s most important goal is to simplify the procedure for filing IT returns. So, the IT department is setting ways to encourage the taxpayers.
So, the activity to get the information on birthdays and wedding dates from the taxpayers will be initiated. If the taxpayers like to share this information, the IT department will take the initiative to send SMS greetings.
