Chennai High Court to remain closed for 9 days on account of Dussehra holidays

It has been announced that the Chennai High Court will have holidays for the Dussrea festival for 9 days from 8th October till 16th October.

A brief on the press release by the Chennai High Court Chief Registrar N. Satishkumar:

Both Chennai High Court and its branch in Madurai will remain closed from 8th October to 16th October for 9 days.

Chief Justice S. K. Kaul has ordered that a few judges during this vacation period to look only after the emergency cases.

As per this order, when Chennai High Court functions on 14th October as a special holiday court session, Judges P. Rajendran and N. Adhinathan at Chennai High Court and Judges S. Vimala and K. Kalyanasundaram at Madurai Court will enquire the cases. The registrar office will function fully on 13th October.
