Fruits like apple, sweet lime, orange, and guava sell heavily during the Ayudha Pooja/Dussera festive season.This the quantity of arrival of these fruits has been somewhat less.
So, the prices have shot up by Rs. 10/- to Rs. 40/- per kg. As compared to the last year, only the price of apple has come down somewhat.
During the Ayudha Pooja festival last year, apple was sold at Rs. 140/- to Rs. 150/- per kg. However, this year, apple is being sold at Rs. 100/- to Rs. 120/- per kg. Except for apple, the prices of all other fruits have gone up.
The price of guava has shot up quite unexpectedly. Until last week, guava was sold at Rs. 30/- to Rs. 40/- per kg. However, now guava is being sold at Rs. 60/- to Rs. 80/- per kg, In the external retail market, it is sold at Rs. 100/- per kg.

Apple - Rs. 100/- to Rs. 120/-. Sweet lime - Rs. 50/- to Rs. 60/-. Kamala Orange - Rs. 40/- to Rs. 55/-. Custard Apple (seethappazham) – Rs. 40/-. Guava – Rs. 60/- to Rs. 80/-. Grapes – Rs. 80/-. Pomegranate – Rs. 100/- to Rs. 140/-. Pear – Rs. 60/-.
