Government to hold control of exorbitant price hike of pulses, sugar and others

The central ministry is likely to introduce exclusive rules for pricing so that the price of indispensable provision items including pulses, sugar, and so on can be maintained under control at times of abnormal scenarios.
According to the current situation being in practice, the prices of such items are being decided by the market itself. The government has very minimal hold in controlling the price.
Senior officials from the consumers department state that there are a number of amendments already done in order to bring the fluctuating rates under control.
These rules can be implemented only at times when there is exorbitant hike in price. The change in rule will consider the sellers answerable to such unforeseen hike in price during such situations.
