Tamil Nadu Transport Corporations: 21289 special buses for Deepavali travel plans

Tamil Nadu Government Transport Corporation has released a recent announcement that 21289 special buses will be operated for the benefit of the public on the Deepavali festival travel.
The date and the number of special buses to be operated from Chennai Metro for 3 days from 26th October to 28th October to various places:
- 26th October – 3254 special buses
- 27th October – 3992 special buses
- 28th October – 3979 special buses
Thus, a total of 11225 special buses will operate from Chennai to various places during the above 3 days.
The scheduled of Deepavali special buses starting from the other areas:
- 26th October – 2507 special buses
- 27th October – 3488 special buses
- 28th October – 4069 special buses
This schedule makes up for a total of 21289 special buses for the occasion of Deepavali.
The special buses from Chennai will start from 3 different locations in Chennai Metro on 26th, 27th, and 28th October:
Chennai Koyambedu Bus Terminus, the temporary bus terminus at State Transport Corporation – Anna Nagar West, The office of the Tamil Nadu State Election Commission, Tambaram Sanatorium, and Arignar Anna Bus terminus, Poonamallee.

With the setting up of the temporary bus terminal the details of destinations from each terminus is also released.
Anna Nagar West State Transport Corporation terminus - all Tamil Nadu and Andhra State Transport Corporation buses proceeding to Andhra via Red Hills
Tamil Nadu State Election Commission Office in 100 feet road opposite Koyambedu bus terminus - All buses proceeding via East Coast Road to Puducherry, Cuddalore, and Chidambaram will start from here.
Tambaram Sanatorium Arignar Anna Bus terminus - All buses to Kumbakonam and Thanjavur via Tindivanam and Vikravandi will start from here.
Poonamallee Bus terminus - All buses proceeding to Vellore, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Tirupathur, and Hosur via Poonamallee will start from here.
Koyambedu Bus terminus - All buses to Trichy, Tirunelveli, Sengottai, Tuticorin, Thiruchendur, Nagacoil, Kanyakumari, Thiruvananthapuram, Villupuram, Kallakurichi, Arcadu, Aarani, Salem, Coimbatore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Velankanni and buses proceeding to Bangalore and Ernakulam will start from here.
