New low-pressure to bring more rain

Heavy rain continues to slam Coastal Tamil Nadu today as the depression in the Kanyakumari sea has strengthend.
A new trough of low pressure has formed over the South West Bay and it promises to bring more rains in coastal Tamilnadu and Puduchery during the next 24 hours. The trough extends from Sri Lanka to north coastal Tamilnadu across the Bay.
According to Meteorological Department officials, the conditions in Chennai will be generally cloudy with slow to heavy rainfalls in few areas for next 24 hours. Tamilnadu and its interior areas will receive heavy rains and gusty winds are forecast for tonight.
