Heavy rains in TN next 24Hours

The Meteorological Department sources said the New Low Pressure area over Southeast and adjoining East central Arabian sea has developed.
There is also a trough of low at mean sea level extending from Sri Lanka coast to Andhra Pradesh coast. Under its influences, rain or thundershowers would occur at many places over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during the next 24 hours.
Heavy rains continued to lash this city and its suburbs as the trough of low pressure over the Bay persisted, promising more rains.
