According to reports, Microsoft has pulled down a whopping 100,000 apps from its Windows Store as part of their cleaning process. However, while Microsoft has yet to confirm this figure, it could be a signal to the industry that Microsoft may be showing disinterest in their platform.

In an official email, Microsoft said, As part of our continuing efforts to improve the Store experience for customers, we’re bringing enforcement of the Windows Store age rating policy to published apps that are not yet rated by using the new Dev Center age rating questionnaire. We’ve identified one of more of your apps as not having a rating based on the questionnaire.

A total number of apps available on the Windows Store are presently around 239,000, which was almost 329,000 in September.
