No restriction in ATM usage, says Revenue Secretary

Shaktikanta Das, the Revenue Secretary has announced that there will henceforth be no restriction in the total number of ATM usage for the customers. Thus far, customers were allowed to use the ATM only once in a day.
Addressing the press, he explained about getting the old rupee notes exchanged where he stated that all the necessary facilities are being made for the people to get access to money with ease and a detailed discussion in this regard took place headed by PM Modi.
Now, there is a relaxation imposed on the total number of ATM usage in a day. Accordingly, an individual will be able to withdraw cash for any number of times. In India, most banks are located in rural and suburban areas. Hence, a discussion was made on how to facilitate residents in village.
Necessary facilities to exchange old rupee notes at post offices are made and we have also made arrangements to get the new Rs 2000 notes. This will come to effect from today, he added. It is also to be noted that all bank and bank employees are functioning day and night to cater to the emergency needs of the public. On the other hand, the charges for online funds transfer is also waived off.
