The State of Bank of India has commenced 5 uninterrupted ATMs in 5 locations in the Chennai.
With a view to provide the best possible service to the people of Tamil Nadu, 5 uninterrupted ATMs have been in the Chennai - Purasaiwalkam, Santhi Colony (anna Nagar), Sowcarpet, Gill Nagar, and Kodambakkam.
Chief General Manager of SBI, while inaugurating these uninterrupted ATMs, explained that the State Bank of India has been providing financial services in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry with 3904 ATMs and 71 depositing devices, 602 cash dispensers, and 29500 POS (Point of State) terminals.
There are 628 ATMs of SBI catering to Chennai residents. In order to help the medium and small traders (groceries, fruits, vegetables, and flower vendors), mobile vans fitted with POS have been functioning. Especially, Rs. 2000/- per person was being distributed through a POS terminal in Chennai Koyambedu wholesale vegetable market to help the traders.
