Tamil Nadu Museums e-books can be downloaded free of cost

Books published by the Tamil Nadu Museum are being uploaded as e- book in the museum website for the convenience of reading public. The books can be downloaded free of cost.
 
Chennai Museum was founded in 1851 and is the second oldest museum in India. From the year 1882, the museum department has been publishing books on archeology and anthropology. At this juncture, the department has introduced e-book system.
 
Tamil Nadu Museum director T Jaganathan while speaking said: The museum department has been publishing books on painting, sculpture, botany, geography, museums, numismatics, zoology, antiquities safety from the year 1882. The books are world famous. Since these are research oriented, the books are a guide to the whole world. So far 240 books have been published. In order to peruse these books, e-books have been introduced. So far 180 books covering 24000 pages have been uploaded in our website. The balance 60 books will be uploaded by end of March. Tamil Nadu Government’s ELCOT firm has taken up this job. These books can be easily found in the website and it will be very useful to research students and competition exam candidates.
