Chennai and nearby coastal areas are getting steady rains

Right now in Mandaveli, steady rains are lashing and at times its getting heavier. This pattern of rain (some spells and then break and starting again) in Chennai is set to continue ECR and OMR are getting good rains at the moment. Most of the rains in Chennai itself is happening close to the Sea. (See image). The other areas not much rains are seen.
Landfall ?
The Cyclone Nada should cross somewhere close to Parangipettai - Karaikkal belt. The northern quadrant Cuddalore / Pondy will witness winds of 50 km/hr. This is going to cross the coast somewhere around 5.00 am to 7.00 am tomorrow morning.
