Old Rs 500 notes invalid for metro, bus tickets after 10th December

Government on Thursday announced that the invalid Rs 500 notes can be used only till 10th December for purchasing tickets of railway, metro and state road transport buses. It was earlier announced that the invalid Rs 500 notes can be used for purchasing tickets of railway, metro and state road transport buses till 15th December. At this juncture it has been announced that the Rs 500 will be invalid after 10th December.
Narendra Modi demonetized the 500 and 1000 notes on 8th November.
