As far as the songs by Nayanmars are considered, Kapaleeswarar temple belongs to the 7th century and was built by Pallava Kings. However, the architecture does not seem to be that old, and hence, it is presumed that the Portugese have devastated the original temple erected by Pallavas and constructed the present day temple in the 16th century.

Breezy Beach

There are a number of beaches in Chennai apart from the longest one, Marina. Coming on to the Breezy beach, one can enjoy pollution-free atmosphere. It is located close to Valmiki Nagar in Chennai.
