Southern Railways has fully/partially cancelled trains as a precautionary measure

Cyclonic storm Vardah has now turned into a severe cyclonic storm and is likely to make landfall by Monday afternoon along north Tamil Nadu. In view of this Southern Railways has fully/partially cancelled trains as a precautionary measure.
Train No.66026 Sullurupetta-Chennai Central (Moore Market Complex) leaving Sullurupetta at 12 noon is fully cancelled. There will be only one EMU train for every one hour between Chennai Central Suburban to Gummidipoondi.
Train No.12711 Vijayawada – Chennai Central Pinakini Express leaving Vijayawada at 06.00 hrs is partially cancelled between Gudur and Chennai Central.
Train services from Chennai Beach to Velachery, Chennai Central to Arakkonam Junction have been temporarily suspended.
Trains on the Chennai Beach-Tambaram-Chengalpattu line also been suspended.
Suburban trains in MAS-SPE/GPD & MRTS are suspended till further advice due weather situation.
Chennai Metro Rail will be operated as usual.
Due to prevailing weather conditions following Vardha Cyclone, accompanied by heavy wind, the following 17 train services are fully cancelled today:
