CBSE schools to go cashless from January

From 1st January, the school fees of CBSE schools should be paid online. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has requested people to go for cashless transactions to eradicate corruption and bribes. In view of this, it has been decided to collect school fees in the CBSE schools through online from 1st January 2017 onwards. As per a Central Board of Secondary Education circular from Secretary Joseph Emmanuel, all affiliated schools have been told to collect fees either through online or other cashless modes from January 2017.
The board has directed schools to disburse the salary to their staff through direct bank transfer. The directives are expected to reduce the cash burden on the board and its affiliated schools.
