Railways to hike the license fee for prepaid autos and taxis

The railway administration has decided to hike the licence fees by 25 percent for the vehicles carrying passengers from railway stations.  A circular regarding this was sent to all the railway stations through the respective divisional railway managers.
 
Autos, taxis, mini buses and vans which ferry from railway stations to various destinations are issued licence by railways once in 6 months. This licence fees are to be hiked from 1st January.
 
The revised fares are as under:
 
Metro cities 
  • Auto fees are revised from Rs 900 to Rs 1200
  • Taxi fees are revised from Rs 1500 to Rs 2000
  • Mini bus fess are revised from Rs 3000 to Rs 4000 
Medium sized cities:
  • Auto fees are revised from Rs 500 to Rs 670
  • Taxi fees are revised from Rs 800 to Rs 1070
  • Mini bus fess are revised from Rs 1500 to Rs 2000 
Towns:
  • Auto fees are revised from Rs 400 to Rs 530
  • Taxi fees are revised from Rs 700 to Rs 930
  • Mini bus fess are revised from Rs 1200 to Rs 1600
