Indian Railways has announced its plans to start special train services to all important tourist attraction centres in the country.
It has been announced that the special trains will start from Madurai sponsored by IRCTC - Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation.
Accordingly, a special train is to be run on a 7-day tourism special to Shirdi, Pandaripuram, and Mantralayam on 29th December.
A special pilgrimage train, Vaikunta Ekadasi special train, will be run to the popular pilgrimage centres like Guruvayur, Dharmasthala, and Udupi.
Another train, to be known as Winter Special Tourism Train, will be run to Kochi (Cochin), Alappuzha, and Goa.
The above 2 trains will be 6-day tourism special trains to be run on 7th January.
In a similar vein, arrangements are also being made for tours by flight to Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai, Sri Lanka and European Countries.
