J. Kumaraguruparan, the Director of the department of Information and Public Relations, and e-Governance has issued a notice. In this, it is stated that in Tamil Nadu, aiding people to apply and get Aadhar card with ease, nearly 545 permanent enrollment centres are functional under e-governance campaign. These are administered by Arasu Cable TV Corporation and ELCOT (Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu).
Between 1st October 2016 and 31st December 2016, over 9,91,924 individuals had received Aadhar cards. According to the centre’s announcement regarding rules for enrollment of candidates for Aadhar card dated 12th September 2016, for applicants who have got their Aadhar card within the age of 15, it is mandatory for them to carry the necessary proofs and submit the details at these permanent Aadhar enrollment centres within two years of completion of 15 years of age.
This will not be charged any amount and will be served for free. Aiding the people to get these done hassle-free, permanent Aadhar card enrollment centres will be administered by the Arasu Cable TV Corporation and ELCOT.
