In its report today, Paytm has announced that it has made a new addition that will allow payments via Unified Payment Interface. This will allow easier money transfer by customers.
Customers who make use of UPI platform can use the UPI ID, one can easily add money to their Paytm Wallet. Once the UPI ID is entered on the payment page, a request for collecting money will be forwarded to all the apps that are enabled for UPI on the smartphone. Once the request is accepted on the app, the 4 or 6 digit PIN for making the UPI transaction is to be entered and the transaction will be complete.
In his note about this, the Senior Vice President of Paytm, Nitin Misra said the payment system on Paytm and UPI are both integrated. Apart from aiding our customers with simplified money addition option, this move will also lay sturdy foundation for Payments Bank. Furthermore, we will also be making different India Stack features to make innovative, affordable services to Indians.
Paytm had recently brought features like App Password which will ensure safety and security of the money stored on the mobile wallet even in case of loss or misplacement of phone. There are simplified options to pay or receive money for non-smartphone users and non-internet users as well. For such users, Paytm has set up a toll-free number which is 1800 1800 1234.
