A new helpline number is introduced to customers’ address doubts and queries regarding digital transactions. The central government is continuously encouraging digital transactions. Last month, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced that one individual will selected out of all those who make digital transactions of the range Rs 50 to Rs 3000. The selection will be based on lucky draw and for the selected individual, a surprise gift will be given. Amid these, a new helpline number is introduced to answer the queries of customers regarding digital transactions.
The helpline number is 14444. This is a toll free number. Doubts like e-wallet payment, payment via Aadhar card, etc can be asked. This helpline service is introduced by the department of telecommunications together with The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM). Addressing the press in this regard, J.S. Deepak, the Telecom Secretary that the helpline number will be functional in Hindi and English in the Northern and Eastern parts of the country and will be expanded to the remaining parts of the country in other regional languages in the coming days.
