Now, get colour voter ID from e-Seva centres

The new voters` list for 2017 has been released.Those who do not find their names in the list can apply online to include their names by visiting the website  elections.tn.gov.in.

For the 11.20 Lakh voters who have been registered for the first time, voters ID with photograph will be distributed by house-to-house visits from 10th February.

In a new effort, the Election Commission has also made arrangements for issuing voter ID cards from the e-service centres on the occasion of the National Voter’s Day falling on 25th January.

As per this arrangement, an OTP (One Time Password) will be sent as SMS to the cell phone of the new voter. The new voter can refer this password at the e-service centres and get their voter ID card free.

However, if the fresh voter desires to have it immediately, he/she can pay Rs. 25 and get the voter ID card. Those with the old voter ID card can also get their new colour voter ID cards by paying Rs. 25 in the e-service centres.
