In order to encourage the electronic transactions by its customers, HDFC Bank has started a new service called missed call banking service. In this scheme, HDFC bank customers must register their cell phone numbers in the bank.
The details of the monthly bills due will be sent as SMS to the customer.At the end of the bill details SMS, there will be a free mobile cell number given. If the customer gives a missed call to this number, The payment due for the transactions will be paid from the customer account.
In this scheme, paying bills such as mobile telephone charges, electricity bills, and the monthly EMIs can be done.In this scheme, there is no necessity to have any special App or even android phone.
HDFC has informed it would just be sufficient to register the customer’s mobile number.
