Following the long queue of Pongal holidays, the people in Tamil Nadu are seemingly privileged as the State Government is on the verge of announcing State Government holiday on January 17th as well. This is to mark the centenary year of Late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MGR’s 100th birthday.
The AIADMK Party General Secretary in one of the recent addressing had mentioned that lots of cultural and innovative programmes are being planned up for the 100th year birthday celebration of MGR and it was done before same way marking the centenary year of Anna birthday well. The documents and request proposal regarding the holiday declaration on January 17 was prepared and forwarded to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneer Selvam before few days.
Now as the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister had been to Andhra Pradesh for the sake of discussing the release of Krishna River water. It looks like an official announcement pertaining to the declaration of State Government Holiday on January 17 would be announced by end of this day.
