Weather update - Last spell of Rains before the long dry season

Delta got a bountiful rains in last spell in January. In this spell, the action will be more concentrated in the South TN and also Delta. Thoothukudi which missed out wiill surely get some rains this time starting from tonight or tomorrow for next two days here and there mostly in coastal belt. After 29th January, the rains will come to halt in entire Tamil Nadu. Kanyakumari Coimbatore belt has chance of rains on 27th evening or night.
The one good news is Chennai will get something out of it. Though there may sproadic isolated spells here and there on 26th. Only on 26th Night or 27th Morning we will get some good moderate spell of rains. There may be isolated rains in Chennai on 28th morning too. In overall, this will not add any inflow into our Chennai lakes.
Just enjoy these spells what ever it is !!! we may have to wait a long long long time before seeing a drop of spell in Chennai. Hopefully, let the month of may spring some surprise rains like cyclone Roanu did last time.
