Uber and Ola to stop shared drives in Karnataka

Online transportation companies Uber and Ola have announced stoppage of shared drives in Karnataka starting from 3rd February.
Either of the companies has been providing Shared Drive options where passengers can share a car to reach a destination and they can journey together. Using this service, a few companies have been making use of it to pick up and drop their employees.
Following the government announcement that this is against law, both Uber and Ola have announced that Shared Drive facility will be stopped from 3rd February.
