Chennai Meteorological Centre has mentioned that there will be rains today in Tamil Nadu due to convection. In Tamil Nadu, the northeast monsoon withdrew on 4th January. After this there was weak trough in the Bay of Bengal. Due to this, there were rains in Tamil Nadu for some days.
At this juncture Chennai Meteorological Centre has mentioned that there will be rains today in Tamil Nadu.
An official of Chennai Meteorological Centre said: There will be rains in some parts of South Tamil Nadu including Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Ramanathapuram and Virudhunagar. At the same time there will be no rains in North Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. As far as Chennai is concerned, the sky will be cloudy. There are chances of rains in some areas of Chennai. The flurry weather in Tamil Nadu will continue for two more weeks. After this, the directions of the winds will change and summer season will begin.
