The State Bank Of India (SBI) has issued notification for the recruitment of 2,313 Probationary Officers.
Qualifications:
A candidate should be a graduate in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India. Those who are in the final year/semester of their graduation may also apply. If called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before July 1, 2017.
Age:
Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.04.2017 i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1987 and not later than 01.04.1996 (both days inclusive). There is relaxation of age for some category of students (like SC, ST, OBC, PWD etc)
Application fees:
Rs 600 for general and OBC categories and Rs 100 for SC, ST and physically disabled categories. The fees can be paid by using credit, debit cards or net banking.
Examination centres:
Chennai, Coimbatore, Dindigul, Krishnagiri, Madurai, Nagercoil, Namakkal, Perambalur, Salem, Thanjavur, Trichy, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi and Vellore.
Selection procedure:
The Preliminary and Main examinations will be held in 2 phases. These examinations will be held on online. Preliminary Examination consisting of English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration. Those who have passed this test will be called for the Mains examinations. Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online.
