The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has constituted a committee of 5 members to study and make recommendations to reform the current salary structure of the state government employees.
The Chief Minister has ordered that this committee will study the recommendations of the 7th Wages revision Committee and submit a report regarding the state employee salary structure within the next 4 months, that is, before 30th June.
It is further informed that this committee will study the current revised pension scheme and the family pension scheme.
The committee will consist of the Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance department, The Chief Secretary of the Home Department, The Chief Secretary of the School Education Department, and the Secretary of the employees and administration reforms department.
As per the press release from the Tamil Nadu State Government, Umanath IAS will be the member secretary of this committee.
The report informs that this decision was taken during a recent meeting conducted under the leadership of the Chef Minister E. Palanisamy. Once the detailed recommendation report is submitted by this committee, it is expected that there are good prospects of an appreciable increase in the salary of the State Government Employees of Tamil Nadu State.
