The central government has made The National-Eligibility-cum-Entrance-Test (NEET) compulsory for the aspirants who want to get admitted in MBBS and BDS courses throughout the country in all medical colleges. This year the NEET will be held on 7th March. CBSE has announced that the aspirants should apply on online

Accordingly the online applying began on 31st January and the last date is 1st March 2017.
Will Tamil Nadu be exempted from NEET?
In between State the Tamil Nadu government moved two bills in the state legislative assembly to exclude Tamil Nadu from the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate medical and dental courses. These bills were sent to President of India for his approval. Chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to approve two Bills exempting students from the state from appearing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) to get admission into medical and dental colleges in the state. So far the President has not given his approval.
