The present Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. Edappadi Palanisami celebrates his 64th birthday today. He was born in the village Siluvampalayam located near the Edappadi Nedunkulam in Salem district.
He contested his first Assembly Elections during the year 1989 Legislative Assembly Elections from the Edappadi constituency on behalf of AIADMK under the Cock Flag.
He was reelected during the elections in 1991.
After a break, he became MLA again in the year 2011. He also got inducted into the State cabinet, assuming charges as the Minister of Highways and Small Ports.
In the year 2016, he was elected as MLA and was the Minister of Public Works Department.
In the year 1998, he had contested in the Parliamentary elections and became a Member of Parliament from the Tiruchengode constituency.
