The deadline given for applying to write NEET for getting admission to medical courses throughout the country is over. It is estimated that over 10 Lakh candidates have applied to write NEET.
The process of selection of admission to join the MBBS and BDS courses throughout the country is executed through NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test).
CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) had informed earlier that the candidates interested to write NEET have to visit the website
www.cbseneet.nic.in and apply online from 31st January to 1st March.
Accordingly, the last date expired yesterday (Wednesday, 1st March).
When enquiring regarding NEET with CBSE officials, they informed that last year, 802594 candidates had applied to write NEET.
This year, it is expected that over 10 Lakh candidates would apply to write NEET this year. NEET is conducted in 1500 centers throughout the country. They informed that NEET is conducted in 9 languages including English, Tamil, and Hindi.
