The famous and oft-quoted english proverb says well-begun is half done. It is indeed true that in order to succeed in any task, it is better to start it immediately and well.

This applies especially to the annual examinations of school classes. This is the period when the annual examinations commence. So, it is not at all wise postponing the study part. Regular and enough daily time must be allotted for studying.

This advice has been given the wise elders over the past few decades. A famous Tamil Proverb says. If you want to do good, do it right now. It is a golden statement.

There are some tips available to easily remember what you studied. Make good use of these tips and score well in the annual examinations. All the best.

The list of tips:
  • Subjects like Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry contain a lot of formulae, tables, calculations, and equations. Learn it by heart. When the formulae or equation are long, divide them into smaller sections and memorise. This would help you to remember even the longest formulae or equations.
  • Get into the important habit allotting an hour before going to sleep trying to recall whatever you have studied on that day. Especially, the formulae, equations, and the tables. In case of any doubt, please do not hesitate to get up, refer the books and recollect and remember. Again, when you get up in the morning, try to recollect all you have studied the previous day.
  • When you study a lesson, try to write the important points of the lesson after a break for an hour without referring to the book. This would certainly help you to retain all the learnt stuff permanently in your mind.
  • Collect old question papers. Conduct a test for yourself using them. Keep this test-writing habit as a daily practice. The questions may not be old papers – even you may set the new question paper. This would greatly reduce the stress or tension to encounter the examinations. Further, writing self-conducted tests would help you to identify the areas where you tend to forget some important points. Once you locate, you can take the corrective action to get rid of this problem and score higher marks.
  • Some students tend to study feverishly during the few moments just before the commencement of the examination. This is not at all the right thing to do. It is best not to study anything just an hour before the examination and keep peace of mind. Focus your mind and try to be your natural self. Please do not mentally revise any lessons you studied. Why? It is because, in case you forget something the revision, it will create an unnecessary tension. This may cause to forget even more.
Keep calm and be ready to take the examination. Best of luck.
