State Bank of India: Regulations relaxed for more than 3 ATM transactions

The State Bank of India has informed that for persons having a balance of more than Rs. 1 Lakh in their SBI Savings Account, there will be no additional charges for using other bank ATMs any number of times.

SBI announced their new policy for transactions following the private sector banks HDFC, Axis, and ICICI regarding the charges for transactions. This will be effective from 1st April.

As there were protests on this additional charges for more than fixed number of transactions from several fronts, SBI has now announced that their conditions would be valid for all the savings accounts holders who have kept a balance of a fixed amount.

If the balance is above Rs. 25000/- in SBI savings accounts, it is informed that there is no restriction on the number of transactions and there would be no additional charges.

If the SBI Bank balance is more than Rs. 1 Lakh, there will be no restrictions on the number of times other bank ATMs are used.
