Know more about charges towards different banking transactions

Do you know that the banking transactions you make other than those involving cash are also charged?
 
While withdrawing cash from ATMs, if you have crossed beyond the free limit, Rs 20 will be charged for every additional transaction. For other transactions not involving cash, the charge is Rs 8.50.
 
What are cashless transactions? Balance enquiry, getting mini statement, change of PIN number, bank statement, etc are some of the cashless transactions.
 
Starting from this week, a charge of Rs 5 to Rs 150 will be imposed when users make cash transactions beyond free limit from HDFC, SBI & ICICI banks. A few banks will bring this into effect from 1st March whereas others are set to introduce on 1st April.
 
Salary account:
The above penalty policy will not only be applicable to savings bank, but also current accounts or salary accounts.
 
Minors and senior citizens:
With HDFC bank, those who have minor or senior citizen account with the bank, no charge will be imposed for withdrawal up to Rs 25,000 per day.
 
Third party transactions:
Third party transactions were allowed up to Rs 25,000. However, now, a charge of Rs 150 will be applicable towards these third party transfers.
