BSNL together with Datamail provider Data Xgen has launched a new mailing service today. This is touted to offer 100 GB storage. BSNL broadband customers using select plans can avail the mailing service for free.

The BSNL Chairman and Managing Director has tweeted about this. His tweet reads that the network provider has launched the 100GB mail storage service and a demonstration was given over Data Radio Service.

What is Datamail?
Datamail is a linguistic email service provider. It allows drafting mail in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marati, Punjabi, Urdu, Gujarati, and Hindi.

Free 100GB storage is provided for two pan India plans. These plans include BBG Combo ULD 680 and BBG Combo ULD 950. Customers who have opted for these two plans can get a free email id and 100GB storage space.

The storage limit offered thus far is 1GB for all the BSNL broadband customers. This is comparatively far lesser than Gmail, Yahoo Mail and Hotmail and others. Now, this new launch of mailing service will allow all BSNL broadband users to avail linguistic email address service jointly made available by BSNL and Data XGen. It can be accessed via DataMail app.
