The corridors of the famous Sabarimala Swami Ayyappan Temple will be opened at 5.30 PM today (Tuesday, 14th March) for the special occasion of performing pooja in the Tamil/Malayalam Calendar month of Panguni.
Melsanthi Unnikrishnan will open the temple corridors and perform Deeparadhana in the presence of Thanthiri Kandararu Rajeevaru.
After the opening of the temple corridors, no special pooja will be performed today. Only the cleaning of the temple sanctum sanctorum and the surrounding areas will be carried out.
The temple corridors will be opened early morning at 5.00 AM from tomorrow (Wednesday, 15th March) and various events and pooja such as Nirmalya Dharisanam, Ganapathy Homam, Ney (Ghee) Abhishekham, Usha pooja, Ucha pooja, Deeparadhana, Pushpabhishekham, and Athazha pooja will be performed.
From tomorrow (Wednesday, 15th March) till 19th March, special pooja - Padi pooja, Udhayasthamana pooja, Kalasa pooja, and Kalabhabhishekham - will e performed headed by Thanthri Rajeevaru.
After the performance of Athazha pooja on 19th March, the song Harivarasanam will be sung/chanted and the temple corridors will be closed at 10.30 PM.
