18 million downloads for BHIM mobile app

The BHIM app launched as a move to encourage digital transactions has so far got 1.8 crore downloads - thats truly a huge sum.
Following demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 on 8th November 2016, the centre had launched the BHIM mobile app to encourage digital transactions. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India had launched the mobile app on 30th December.
So far, the mobile app has seen 1.8 crore downloads. Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant has made a tweet in this regard stating that BHIM app has set milestones with 18 million downloads so far.
