Plans to provide ID cards with Aadhar Number for all the police in Tamil Nadu

New Hi-tech Identity Cards with Aadhar Card numbers are to be provided to the 1 Lakh strength police staff in the state of Tamil Nadu. All the tasks to complete this are progressing in full swing.

There was a demand that new hi-tech Identity Cards in tune with the modern times must be issued. In order to prevent impersonators as police and also to issue uniform Identity Cards for the entire Police Staff.

Accepting this demand, Tamil Nadu DGP (Director General of Police) T. K. Rajendran ordered for the manufacture of special hi-tech uniform Identity Cards for the entire police staff of the Tamil Nadu state.

Ciruclars were sent regarding this to all the district police officers including Chennai Metro District. Accordingly, application forms have been distributed to all the police staff to furnish the data to be registered in the new ID.

The officials from the office of the DGP informed that the new hi-tech uniform Identity Cards for the entire Police staff in the state will be distributed shortly.

Features of the new smart ID card

The photograph of the person without the cap will be printed in the ID. With this, it is easy to identify.

There will be a secret code embedded in the ID card. Using this, the details of the name, address, date of joining, date of retirement, current designation, blood group and identification marks in the body can be ascertained.

Aadhaar card number also will be entered in this ID. The new ID cards will carry 25 types of personal information.
