CBSE: NEET centres can be changed till 31st March

Earlier, CBSE had announced that Monday, 27th March as the last day for any candidates to change the NEET centre to write the test.

Now, CBSE has revised this date and has announced that the applicants can change their NEET centres till 31st March.

For the candidates who have completed +2 and seeking admission in medical courses like MBBS or BDS, the Supreme Court had ordered last year they must have to write and pass the NEET conducted throughout the country every year by CBSE.

Though some of the states were exempted from this rule last year, a pass in NEET has been made compulsory this year. So, the number of applicants for writing NEET has shot up this year. Last year, there were 802594. This year, it is 1135104.

Earlier, CBSE had announced the option to change the test centres from 24th March to 27th March in the website: cbseneet.nic.in.

Now, CBSE had revised the dates - the candidates have the option of changing the NEET centre till 31st March.

Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Salem, and Trichy had been earlier announced as NEET centres in Tamil Nadu, Now, Namakkal, Tirunelveli, and Vellore also have been as NEET centres.

It is to be noted that NEET is scheduled to be conducted throughout the country on 7th May.
