The Chennai district Pension distribution Officer P. Jameela has informed that the pensioners in the district can now send the proof of living in order to continue receiving the monthly pension by visiting the nearest e-service centre.

As per the existing procedure, the pensioners who receive the monthly pension from the government pension offices (treasuries) must physically present themselves between 1st April and 30th June. Otherwise, they have to submit a proof of living.
From this year, there is an additional facility introduced. The pensioners can obtain proof of living by visiting the central government website called Jeevan Pramaan and entering the details. This would be automatically registered in the government treasury. This facility is available in all the e-service centres.
The pensioners can visit the e-service centres operated by the Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation Limited and furnish their Aadhar card details, register their fingerprints. Then, the electronic certificate of the proof of living will be issued. The charge for getting this electronic certificate from the e-service centre is Rs.10.
When the pensioners visit the e-service centres, they have to bring their Aadhar Cards, Pension Order number, the details of the office sending the pension, the district treasury or subordinate treasury.
The proof of living sent through the Jeevan Pramaan will be checked by the respective treasuries or pension offices and the details will be registered.
The pensioners with internet facility can register the details in the Jeevan Pramaan website by themselves online. This would be checked in the treasury and registered.
