Anna University: Announcement soon on the date to apply for engineering courses

Anna University has informed that the dates for applying for admission to engineering courses online with all related details will soon be announced.
It has advised the students to be prepared with all the requisite documents and certificates.
There are more than 570 engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu state. This includes all Anna University affiliated colleges, government engineering colleges, government-aided engineering colleges, and self-financed private colleges,
Around 2 lakh seats available for joining B.E. & B.Tech. engineering courses offered by the above colleges are filled up after general counselling. The counselling is organised by Anna University on behalf of the Department of Higher Education Council.
As a routine, the application forms for admission to engineering colleges are distributed within a few days after the release of the +2 examinations every year.
From the last academic year, the system of applications in paper form was discontinued and online registration system was started.
The procedure to apply online involved accessing the website, fill up the form with full details and a printout to be taken and sent to Anna University.
It has already been officially announced that the results of the +2 examinations will be released on 12th May.
As happens every year, this year also, the students are excitedly keeping wait for the start of the online registration for counselling.
In this scenario, the secretary of the Tamil Nadu Engineering Students Admission Department, Ms Indhumathi made a press release regarding this yesterday (Tuesday, 4th April):
The announcement of the date for applying online for admission to engineering courses will be made very shortly. So, the students seeking admission are advised to keep all related documents and certificates ready. The requirement of certificates will vary according to the chosen course.
- Caste certificate
- Certificate regarding being the 1st graduate in the generation of the family (if required)
- Residential proof (if required)
- Income certificate (if required)
