Today is the last date for NEET application

The extension of deadline to apply for NEET entrance exam ends today, the 5th April. NEET is the entrance exam for joining in medical studies.
The NEET entrance exam is conducted to admit students in medical and dental colleges across India. The Supreme Court had mandated the exam.
There were protests against conducting the entrance test. And the state governments filed case against conducting the exam. However, the Supreme Court mandated the examination.
Accordingly, the NEET exam for this year is scheduled for 7th of May. Starting from 31st of January this year, applications for NEET exam were made available on www.cbseneet.nic.in.
The deadline to submit filled application forms was initially 31st March. Following this, students had appealed to the Supreme Court against forbidding candidates aging above 25 to take part in the exam. The court had then extended deadline for application for 5 more days, and candidates got time till 5th April.
Thus, today is the last day to apply for NEET entrance exam. Applications can be sent online until midnight today at www.cbseneet.nic.in. From then, acceptance of online applications will be stopped.
Educationalists say that students should make the most of the opportunity and apply for NEET entrance exam.
